Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the services that help us run Wordlark, and only as far as they need it:

Some of these companies may handle information outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards recognised under UK law. If a school or teacher gives you access to its lists, your teacher may see your progress on those lists. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Children

Wordlark is used by learners of all ages, including children at home and at school. If you are under 13, please ask a parent, guardian or teacher before you create an account. A parent or guardian can contact us at any time to see, correct or delete a child's information.

Keeping it safe

The site is served only over encrypted connections. Passwords are stored only in hashed form, and access to the data is limited to the people who run Wordlark. No system is perfectly secure, but we take care to protect what you trust us with.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a form you can take elsewhere. To use any of these rights, email [email protected]; we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and if the change is significant we will tell you on the site or by email.
